The Nevada Department of Wildlife will be offering an Introduction to Archery class on January 12, 2018 at High Desert Archery Range.
For those of you who have always wanted to learn how shoot a bow and arrow, but have never had the chance to learn, don’t miss this opportunity. The Introduction to Archery clinic is designed to give local youth a hands-on experience in the sport of archery. Class will begin at 10 a.m. and will conclude at 12 p.m. High Desert Archery Range is located at 940 Matley Lane, #5, Reno, Nevada 89502.
This class is designed for any youth, 10 through 18 years old, who is brand new to the world of archery. Subject matter will include basics such as parts and function of a compound bow, basic technique, and range safety. There will be a 30-minute classroom instruction period followed by a target shooting experience on the range. Equipment will be provided to each participant. There will be a $5.00 range fee paid directly to High Desert Archery Range upon arrival.
